Organic Calabrese Walthams are a stocky and compact plant that can grow up to approx 20 inches, giving you more of that delicous flavour. Originated from USA variety of Calabrese is becoming increase more popular in this country as the plant can survive the cold temperatures and still mature within 85 days (approx duration for maturity).
The 150 Waltham Calabrese seeds supplied in this kit will perform better in firm and fertile soil of which is well drained. When harvesting cut the central heads when firm and this will promote sideshoots forming.
