Product Reviews
...you have to keep your wits about you when putting it together. Not too many fiddly bits to get to grips with - but make sure you lay it all out and read the instructions through before you start work. Take your time - some pieces are easier to put together than others. The end panels are not exact mirror images (so the lattice work goes a different way on each end). The little screws that hold the bottom shelf in place are a real pain to screw in unless you have a short handled Philip's screwdriver. Some of the bolt holes need clearing of paint and chippings so the bolts can go through smoothly. The little wooden dowels that hold the top two shelves to supporting legs need a wooden mallet to hammer home (if using a hammer be sure to place a piece of wood over the dowel - so you don't hit the dowel directly, otherwise it might break). In fact, they fit so tightly that I did not need the glue (just as well since the little tube they sent had set solid). I found it easier to put the dowels in the upright legs first (with the connecting bars in place) then join them to the shelf (I found it helped to lay the shelf on the lawn - so it did not get damaged when hammering the dowels into place). Strongly suggest you don't tighten all the bolts until you have completed the build - just tighten them enough to stop it wobbling - then go round systematically tightening them in turn. That said - worth the effort - finished item looks great - the deep bottom shelf is a real bonus - pots don't fall off and you can hide seed trays behind the pots in the dappled shade of the other shelves. We liked the first one so much...that we bought a second.
A good quality product , relatively easy to assemble with lots of room for plants.
