Product Reviews
Easy to set up but it's very difficult to keep compost level after loosening then planting 10 barerooted plants. I have 3 bags containing 10 strawberry plants each using the growtube. They are easy to use, just pour the water into the bottle but they all leak, water runs from the stopper under the bottle (I'm not using the spike at that end) and some of the spikes leak a bit as the compost isn't at a smooth level. One bag has got fairly level compost and that one works best. For all it's shortcomings it's still a good way of watering a bag with a large number of plants in. All the plants look great so it must be working. Shame to be wasting water each watering though, especially in a drought.
I had the same problem with getting the growbags flat, and I also found that if the bottle was more than half full of water, it started to tip over and pulled the spikes out of the growbag. I might try attaching the bottle to the canes somehow.
