During the winter months these lights will still illuminate as long as there is sunlight to charge them. The integral daylight sensor will automatically switch the lights on at dusk and then go back to charging again as daylight appears. We suggest that to maintain optimum efficiency of your lights wipe the surface of the panel with a damp cloth to remove dirt and dust. Please be aware that Solar garden lights are not as bright as their mains electric counterparts but they are delicate and reliable in the summer months.
