This Canadian-bred apricot has revolutionised the growing of apricots in the UK. It's a self-fertile apricot forming a tidy, compact tree, producing large, juicy, intensely flavoured apricots with a strong red blush on succulent orange flesh. These will ripen around the middle of August. Can be grown in the open in southern areas of the country, or elswhere in a sheltered warm spot such as a south-facing wall or fence.
