The first digit gives this light protection against contact and ingress of objects >1 mm in size. The second digit shows a protection of the equipment inside the enclosure against ingress of splashing water.This light is fitted with a pull cord switch for off and on control. This light can also be wired to a wall switch, though if the pull cord is set to off the wall switch will have no effect.
