David Austin Rose - Winchester Cathedral

Winchester Cathedral comes supplied in a 6 Litre pot and has masses of white blooms on a superb shrub which blooms at regular intervals throughout the summer. This is a particularly free-flowering and healthy variety and the fragrance is gorgeous a delicious Old Rose aroma with hints or honey and almond blossom which becomes much stronger in warmer climates.

Planting: When planting the base of the stems should be about 7.5cm below ground level. If immediate planting is not possible keep the roses in the sealed bag or box in a cold but frost-free place for no more than two weeks.
Soil Type: Roses will grow in a wide range of soils though whatever type they are in they do appreciate good soil preparation. Adding a generous quantity of well-rotted manure or garden compost before planting will help to ensure strong growth.
Planting Position: Plant in a location with at least a few hours of sun each day and where the roots of the rose will not be in competition with the roots of plants - especially trees and hedges.
