The RHS Premium Gleditsia Triacathos Sunburst is one of the most effective fast growing deciduous golden trees and particularly useful when creating a contrast against darker green backgrounds. In spring the trees foliage is thick with golden pinnate fern like leaves which take on a pale green colour before reverting to a butter yellow shade in autumn. The tree is also particularly attractive in summer as long brown, slightly twisted seed pods are visible throughout the trees open spreading crown and on its distinctive horizontal branches.
