Cover lightly with further compost and place in a polythene bag to conserve moisture. Place in a dark, warm place approx 15-20°C (60-68°F) until germination occurs. At the first sign of germination (5-8 days), remove the bag and reduce the temperature to around 15°C (60°F). Grow on in good light keeping the compost moist. Transplant the seedlings, when large enough to handle, into 9cm (3½") pots of compost and grow on watering as required. In late May-June, plant into larger pots or containers allowing 10-15cm (4-6") between plants. Support the plants with canes, wire or trellis, or alternatively allow to trail from baskets.. . . .
