Pear 'Accolade' - 1 tree Pear 'Accolade' - 1 tree

Pear ‘Accolade’ was first spotted on a roadside in Essex in the 1970’s, laden with fruit which stayed on the tree late into autumn. Ready to harvest from October to November, the fruits have butter-smooth flesh and the perfect balance of acidity and sugar. Eat them straight from the tree or cook them for a warming autumn dessert. The fruits store well so you can even enjoy them into winter. Grafted onto 'Quince A' rootstock to produce a tree with moderate vigour and promote fruiting at an early age. These strong growing pear trees are partially self-fertile but make the ideal planting partner for another variety to aid pollination and increase the yield. If you only have room for one pear tree then make sure that a neighbour has a tree close by that can act as a suitable pollinator. Rootstock: Quince A. Height and spread: 3m (9’).
