Charlotte Second Early Seed Potatoes produce very popular salad variety tubers. Second Early Potatoes are usually dug as a follow on from first earlies to extend the 'new potato' season. They are generally eaten as soon as harvested.

Charlotte produces oval-shaped yellow skinned potatoes with a creamy-yellow flesh. They are full of flavour and delicious either hot or cold and are also excellent for boiling mashing or frying.

    Before planting seed potatoes they need to be chitted. Chitting encourages the growth of the shoots on seed potatoes before planting and will produce heavier crops than would otherwise be obtained. Work back from the intended date for planting to decide when to start chitting.
