Tamarix tetrandra is a medium deciduous shrub with arching, near black branches, green scalelike leaves and large, lightpink plumes in late spring. It grows well in all soils but shallow, chalky soils. Good for costal planting, when it should be grown in full sun in welldrained, sandy soil. However, inland will need protection from cold, drying winds. The plant will reach a height of 4m and a spread of 4m after 1020 years.
