HRH Prince of Wales created Duchy Originals in 1990 due to his belief in the clear advantages of organic farming; the production of natural and healthy foods and sound agriculture which helps to regenerate and protect the countryside and wildlife.
Wild Rocket has dark green serrated leaves which have a rich intense peppery flavour. It is delicious in salads or as a pizza topping and is an ideal kitchen windowsill herb.
Sow from March to August thinly in a well prepared seedbed in full sun or partial shade 13mm deep in drills 30cm apart. It can also be sown under glass from August to March for fresh leaves all year round. Thin out seedlings to 23cm apart or leave un-thinned and pick as 'baby leaves'. Keep well watered to minimise bolting (running to seed) and pick young leaves regularly for best flavour. Harvesting can be done virtually all year round.
