Acer Pseudoplatanus can be grown in areas near the coast. It will produce no real autumn colour. The leaves are thick 5lobed and deeply cut, and they are a dark green above and a light green below. This species grows up to 40m, with broad crown, pale grey bark which is peeling in flakes. The branches are glabrous. The leaves grow up to 16 cm wide, cordate at base, coarsely serratecrenate.
