Thermos containers from Alfi have been keeping hot items warm and cold items cool for more than 80 years. The double-walled vacuum tempered glass insert comprises two parts, the inner and outer walls. Both parts are only joined together at the neck of the jug to create a themal insulated cavity. The insides of the flasks, which make up the cavity area, are coated in silver to reflect the thermal radiation. Insulating effect for up to 16 hours. Alfi Thermos Carafe "Juwel" The "Juwel" was designed in 1918 for the Pullman coaches of the US railroads. Even nowadays, it is still Alfi’s top-selling metal thermos carafe. The carafe is made of chrome-plated brass. 1.5l., height: 26 cm (10” approx.), diameter 14 cm (5½”), weight 1,436 g.
