A hardy bulbous perennial. Allium A. cernuum Liliaceae. A native of North America from Canada to Mexico. First recorded by Albert Wilhelm Roth (1757 - 1834), 'Allium' is from the ancient Celtic name for garlic and 'cernuus' meaning faces towards the ground.
