Sowing Sow thinly in shallow drills 1.5cm (¾”) deep with 30cm (12”) between rows. Planting Thin the seedlings gradually as they grow to an eventual spacing of 10cm (4”). Do not transplant. Other Instructions Can be sown in early March in a cold frame or under cloches for an earlier crop. Not out of place in a flower garden with its pretty foliage. Can be sown June to produce baby beet.
