J.Arthur Bowers John Innes Soil-Based Compost No.1 is a traditional loam-based formulation with limestone and grit sand.

Recommended for pricking out young seedlings or rooted cuttings and moving up to larger pots this is also suitable for young plants plug plants and fruit and vegetables.

This compost has added nutrients for bigger healthier plants and is soil based for better moisture control while the grit sand helps to improve drainage.
