Prunus cerasus Crown Morello is a popular culinary cherry with sour fruit which is dark red to black. Fruits can be picked when the skin dark red, and should be cooked, but if left until August when the skin turns black, the tart fruits can be eaten straight from the tree. Prunus cerasus Crown Morello crops regularly and heavily with moderate vigour and is selffertile. Particularly ideal for growing against a northfacing wall.
