Cherry Collection - 3 maiden trees - 1 of each variety Cherry Collection - 3 maiden trees - 1 of each variety

A collection of delicious dessert and cooking cherries that can be harvested from mid July. Cherries make attractive trees both in flower or when laden with fruit. Grafted onto a dwarfing rootstock, to produce compact, productive cherry trees with good sized fruits. These cherry trees are well suited to growing in small spaces and 60cm (2’) diameter containers, or trained against a wall. The trees in this collection are all self-fertile and therefore do not require pollination companions close by. Height and spread: 2.5m (8’) Rootstock: Gisella 5/6.Collection comprises 1 tree each of: Cherry ‘Stella’ - Britain's best known dessert cherry that reliably produces firm, dark red fleshed fruits with the sweetest flavour.Cherry ‘Sunburst’ - A slightly earlier cropping variety than ‘Stella’, producing large dark red, almost black cherries that store well for a short period after picking. Cherry ‘Crown Morello’ - The largest of the cooking cherries, with very juicy dark red fruits for making pies and jams, wine or Cherry Brandy.Useful links:How to grow fruit trees
