The leaves are a roundedfan shape, when they first emerge they are a softorange brown colour and later mature to dark green.Trimming the hedge during JulyAugust helps retain its leaves throughout winter. It is particularly good in costal positions, but also sun or semi shade and due to its fast growth when young, it can be used to form an effective windbreak to protect other plants.
