Courgette Midnight Seeds Courgette Midnight Seeds

Specially bred for container growing or small gardens. Midnight's compact, bushy, spineless habit is not at the expense of cropping, plants producing good crops of dark green fruit. Plant 60cm (2') apart. For maximum production of courgettes it is essential that all fruits of a culinary size are removed three times a week whether required or not. Sow late March-mid May, either in 7cm (3") pots indoors for early sowings or direct outdoors for later crops. Harvest July-September. HEALTH BENEFIT: High in vitamins A, C and E. CULINARY HINT: Do not remove skins, just slice and grill, stir-fry, boil lightly, or use raw in salads. Try serving with chopped mint and balsamic vinegar.TOBY'S TIP: - Choose the variety for your conditions. I like Partenon as it is a parthenocarpic variety. If mildew is a problem try Tosca which on our trials we have found has good resistance to this fungal disease.
