Forsythia Goldzauber is a lovely shrub which can be used for hedging. It produces bright yellow flowers from early March to April. It brightens up a cold and dull, early Spring day. Grow in any moist but welldrained soil in full sun or partial shade. The forsythia is a very hardy shrub and will stand almost total neglect. It is a very tough and reliable hedging plant, which forms a dense and strong hedge in sun or partial shade and any suitable soil, in particular moist, but well drained. This is a great shrub for the beginner gardener and the expert gardener because given a little attention; a forsythia bush will reward you a thousand times. It can be grown as a standalone specimen shrub or as a long lasting and reasonably dense hedge.
