Sharpes Express First Early Seed Potatoes make for a great all-round use potato in the kitchen. They are a white skinned variety with pale lemon coloured flesh and a high dry matter content. Sharpe's Express has a fine flavour and is suited to boilingroastingchipping and salads.

    Before planting seed potatoes they need to be chitted. Chitting encourages the growth of the shoots on seed potatoes before planting and will produce heavier crops than would otherwise be obtained. Work back from the intended date for planting to decide when to start chitting.
