It has a strong upright habit, and shows good resistance to American powdery mildew, producing good crops of sweet-tasting, juicy berries with a delightful aroma and thin skins. Plants will grow well in most soils, either in the garden or in a container on the patio. Crops from early July. Supplied in a 13cm pot.Lady Late - This first-class variety ripens from the end of July to early August, extending the gooseberry season. It produces very heavy crops of fruit that are very large, dark red and hairless, with a good, balanced flavour. Plants are extremely upright, with healthy, almost spineless growth, and are resistant to American gooseberry mildew. Supplied in a 13cm pot. Both are Lubera varieties - Lubera is a Swiss nursery owned by Markus Kobelt.
