These beautiful Greigii - or amusingly named Donald Duck tulips - were introduced and so called to honour the anniversary of Donald Duck!

These are ideal in beds borders or containers. If the heads begin to fade remove them. Avoid planting tulips repeatedly in exactly the same spot that they have been grown in recent years.

Plant from autumn onwards 10cm deep and the same apart. Clean and store (until autumn) when they can be replanted.
Do not keep off-shoots as they will not flower.They will however grow in a wide range of soils provided there is good drainage.
They like sunshine but will last longer in partial shade.
