Densely tufted, evergreen, forming a hemispherical mound of slender grey-blue leaves. In early midsummer, stiff, long, upright stems bear straw-coloured, purple-marked spikelets in open panicles, nodding at the tips. Use in a herbaceous or mixed border or for gravel planting. Grow in poor to moderately fertile soil in full sun. Supplied in a 2/3lt pot.
