Free-flowering low-growing strain with dazzling colours. Neat and compact plants. Height 15cm (6"). HHA - Half-hardy annual. RHS Award of Garden Merit winner. Seed should be sown thinly on moist compost in pots or trays and then lightly covered with compost or horticultural grade vermiculite. Enclose in plastic bags to maintain high humidity and keep in a temperature of 21-24°C (70-75°F) in full light, but out of direct sunshine. Germination should then take about three weeks. Remove the plastic as soon as this begins. Sow February-April, flowers July-September. July-September One of the brightest and most versatile of plants, impatiens are ideal for those 'difficult' cool, shady places but will also do well in semi-shade and sun. Superb bedding, tubs, window boxes, hanging baskets or pots. Pot up a few plants in autumn for indoor colour.
