LIGUSTRUM ovalifolium Aureum (Oval Leaf Privit) is a large evergreen shrub with a dense covering of shiny oval yellow leaves with a central green splodge. In summer it bears small panicles of creamywhite flowers that may be followed by small black berries in autumn. Plant in any soil as long as it is freedraining in sun or partial shade. It will reach a height of 4m and a spread of 4m after 1020 years. Ideal for hedging. Fruit is black in autumn. All parts may cause severe discomfort if ingested.
