An easily grown, nutritious vegetable providing a continuous supply of 'greens' throughout the summer/autumn. Recommended for deep freezing. Sow in drills 1.25cm (½") deep and 45cm (1½') apart during spring/summer and thin out gradually to 23cm (9") apart. Row 9m (30'). TOBY'S TIP: I sow every 2-3 weeks for continuous leaf production. HEALTH BENEFITS: High in vitamin A (For growth, healthy hair, skin, bones, teeth and eyes as well as resistance to respiratory infections). COOKING HINT: Pick young and steam or boil like spinach. Very young, tender leaves can be eaten raw in salads or sandwiches.
