Malus Butterball is a small crab apple with a spreading habit. The branches are a little pendulous, especially when weighted with fruits. The flowers are pink in bud and white, pink flushed when in bloom. Come autumn there are masses of rich goldenyellow fruits that may have red flushing on the sunny side. It will reach a height of 4m and spread of 3m in 10 years growth.
