Fancy a tropical touch to your salad? Try these attractive and tasty fruits from Mexico and Central America. They also go under the name of Mexican sour cakes, mouse melons, creeping cucumbers, Guadaloupe cucumbers and cuca-melons.. Packet Contents 20 seeds. Sow in a propagator on a windowsill or in a greenhouse at approx. 18-20°C (65-68°F) using a good quality compost. Sow 2-3 seeds per 9cm (3½") pot, covering the seed with 6mm (¼") of compost. (Germination 7-15 days). Thin to leave strongest seedling per pot. Grow on and plant out in grow bags, tubs or soil at a spacing of 30-40cm (12-16"). Remove the main growing shoot before the plants reach 3m (10') and restrict subsequent side shoots to two joints. Water regularly and feed with a tomato fertilizer. Height up to 3m (10').. . . .
