Prevents important nutrients being washed from the soil by wet winter weather.S: February-March & August-November (O) H: Dig in - February-DecemberTo Sow & Grow:Sow your Green Manure Winter Rye outdoors February to March to dig in the same year or sow in early August to November to over winter and dig in the folowing year.Broadcast your Green Manure Winter Rye seed over finely prepared soil which has already been watered. Cut back as necessary to encourage growth.Dig in after 50-60 days in the summer or after overwintering and 4-5 weeks before the ground is required.Cut the Green Manure plants back to allow the foilage to wilt before digging the crop in to a depth of 15-20cm (6-8in).Chop up the foliage with the spade as you dig. Over wintered crops can be dug into the soil in spring. Ensure plants are cut back or dug in before they set seed.Green Manure:Can be mown before flowering to extend the cover period. Leave plants in the ground until the soilis required for use but do not let them set seed.Adverage contents 100g - covers 6sqm.
