Organic Seed Potato - Maris Peer Organic Seed Potato - Maris Peer

Maris Peer is a Second Early potato that has cream coloured skin and flesh and is a round to oval shape. It has good flavour with reliable firmness so it does not break up or discolour when cooking - perfect for tasty summer potato salads. It also makes an attractive plant with remarkable scented purple flowers - the perfect patio potato.
Second Early potatoes can be planted about the same time as First Earlies in the south (of the UK) mid March; further north by late March/early April. The actual time will depend on weather conditions. Second Early potatoes should be planted in rows allowing about 45cm between tubers and 75cm between rows. These potatoes can also be grown in a potato barrel or a patio potato planter.
