Prunus x subhirtella Autumnalis Rosea also known as Winter Flowering Cherry is excellent in mild winters. It has a lovely spreading habit and yellow autumnal leaves that are green for the remainder of the year. This cheery seems to blossom in waves providing a high level of year round interest particularly in the winter months when the branches are laden with deep purple blossoms. Semidouble pale pink flowers fill the tangled and wiry branches from around November through to March providing it is not too mild.
