Selected for quality and resistance to canker, a very good medium-sized parsnip of tapering shape. The white roots are smooth-skinned and of fine flavour. Row 12m (40'). Recommeded for exhibition. RHS Award of Garden Merit winner. Uniform, improved parsnip with increased sweetness. Maturing time approximately 32-36 weeks from sowing. This variety trialled, tested and recommended by the National Institute of Agricultural Botany. Excellent roots can be grown on fertile ground which has been well dug during winter. Sow seeds March-April in drills drawn 30-38cm (12-15") apart. Thin seedlings to 15-20cm (6-8") apart. Lift the roots as required. Exposure to frost improves the flavour.
