Passiflora antioquiensis Passiflora antioquiensis

Stunning rose-pink to red pendulous flowers are followed by long ovoid yellow fruit, considered by some to be the best flavoured of all the passionfruit species. Because the pendulous stem supporting the flower is so long, this species is best grown on a wire frame over a pergola or arch so the flowers can be seen hanging freely in mid air. Please note that this passion flower is not frost hardy and would need to be grown in south facing position and overwintered inside, alternately this would make a fantastic conservatory plant. Supplied in a 3lt pot. Eventual Height: 4 mts Eventual Spread: 4 mts Full to Partial Sun Evergreen Flowering Time: July-August RHS Award of Garden Merit
