Plum 'Burbanks Tangerine' - 1 feathered maiden
A wonderful flavoured plum, with a surprisingly distinct tangerine flavour. Bred in 1913 this self fertile variety is both trouble-free and compact. Plum ‘Burbanks Tangerine’ will produce a plentiful crop of golf ball sized fruits that can be harvested from August to September. Grafted onto a semi-dwarfing rootstock, to produce a compact, productive tree. Plum ‘Burbanks Tangerine’ is partially self-fertile but will produce a better yield if planted with a pollination companion such as Plum ‘Victoria’ or Plum ‘Opal’. Height and spread: 3.5m (11’). Rootstock: St. Julien A.Useful links:How to grow fruit trees
