This temperate Eurasian tree grows to around 15m tall, usually considerably less in gardens. Has 10cm long, serratededged leaves with fine hairs, often developing orange tints in autumn. The flowers are white, 1.2cm wide, on racemes just over 10cm long. They are followed by peasized black fruit that birds find attractive. Watereri is a shapely tree with pendulous racemes up to 20cm long.
