Superb Winter Interest! The outstanding feature of the Prunus serrula Tibetica is its beautiful glossy, mahogany red bark which peels away in bands with age. The brilliance and shine of the bark makes it an attractive feature all year round. The Paper Bark Cherry tree is smallish, with a height seldom reaching 9mts and has a neat, rounded crown just about as wide. The narrow, willow-like leaves turn yellow in autumn.
