Wilja Second Early Seed potatoes are excellent for baking boiling roasting mashing and salads.This variety has yellow skin light yellow flesh and a moderately firm slightly dry texture.

Second Early Potatoes are usually dug as a follow on from first earlies to extend the 'new potato' season. They are generally eaten as soon as harvested.

    Before planting seed potatoes they need to be chitted. Chitting encourages the growth of the shoots on seed potatoes before planting and will produce heavier crops than would otherwise be obtained. Work back from the intended date for planting to decide when to start chitting.
