Snowdrops (Galanthus): One of the most instantly identifiable flowers and the epitome of the English garden and woodland areas in the New Year and early Spring. Snowdrops are great for filling in gaps in borders and are brilliant as planting partners in pots and containers. Snowdrop bulbs in the green come with ready grown foliage, roots and may already have finished flowering for this season. In the Green bulbs û Snowdrops will establish better if planted in the green. If planted as dry bulbs they can take several years to establish and to settle down in their new situation and will flower poorly during this period. The reason is that the in the green bulbs are lifted fresh and re planted again almost immediately which helps them absorb moisture quickly after replanting. Dry bulbs are usually stored for a few weeks before replanting takes place and as a result they are slower to absorb moisture when planted, they take longer to establish as a result. SOLD OUT
