An easy-to-grow, winter hardy variety producing deep purple, globe-shaped roots with sweet-tasting flesh. Sow successionally for a steady supply throughout the winter. Sow 1.8cm (¾") deep in drills 38cm (15") apart May-June. Thin out to 20cm (8") apart and leave in the ground until required for winter use. Harvest September-February. Row 30m (100').
