The Taxus baccata Fastigiata is a dense evergreen compact and tough coniferous plant that will grow in any soil providing it is well drained. It is a striking slow growing Yew that keeps its shape with little clipping or pruning and therefore is an ideal hedging plant with a thick conical shaped green column and a many pointed crown. The Irish Yew will take on a rustic red colour in the Autumn months however its dense habit will remain making this a very sought after tree and hedging plant.
