Taxus baccata, more commonly known as Common or English Yew is a mediumsized evergreen tree with narrow, darkgreen leaves, sometimes with fleshy red fruits.It is an excellent plant for hedging or topiary. Plant in any welldrained soil. Will tolerate exposure, dry soils and urban pollution. It will reach a height of 15m and a spread of 12m after 2050 years. CAUTION Most parts, especially the seeds, are highly toxic if eaten.
