This Dutch Barn Double Storey Playhouse is a stunning design that incorporates the use of an additional storey to provide extra fun for your child. It includes decorative window shutters on the side windows and an internal upstairs area with a safety rail and ladder. Manufactured using FSC-approved timber this quality playhouse is both durable and robust. Constructed around 27mm x 45mm framing and 12mm shiplap tongue and groove cladding this shed also has six fixed styrene windows with crosses a single split barn style door and oriented strand board (OSB) solid sheets on the floor and roof.

The gambrel roof is symmetrically two-sided with two slopes on each side. The upper slope is positioned at a shallow angle while the lower slope is steep. This design provides the advantages of a sloped roof while maximising headroom on the shed's upper level for the additional storey.

Shiplap is a basic style of overlapping siding board and this overlapping pattern creates a weather-resistant shell around the building. The tight fitting nature of the tongue and groove joints are more likely to provide a long-lasting seal against rain snow and ice; although once your playhouse has been installed you should continue to maintain it with a good quality preservative every year or two in accordance with the manufacturers instructions. This will ensure that your playhouse will last for many years.
