HRH Prince of Wales created Duchy Originals in 1990 due to his belief in the clear advantages of organic farming; the production of natural and healthy foods and sound agriculture which helps to regenerate and protect the countryside and wildlife.
Runner Bean Enorma is an appropriate name for this runner bean due to their 50cm long smooth slender pods. These have a fine texture and first class flavour - slice the pods finely and cook lightly to retain their great flavour.

Sow May to July outdoors directly into rich well prepared soil in a sunny spot. Provide support for climbing either a row or wigwam of 180cm canes or netting sowing 2 seeds against each cane 4cm deep. They can also be sown individually in small pots or cells under glass at 18-20C from mid April to transplant outdoors once all risk of frost has passed. When growing keep watered particularly once flowering starts adding mulch during hotter dry periods.Harvest July to October - pick pods regularly whilst young for heaviest yields and to extend the season.

Pods grow up to 50cm in length.
